Regional Medical Campus Implementation Playbook

Creating systemic change is a transformative endeavor, fully embraced by the leaders of Morehouse School of Medicine and CommonSpirit Health. United by a shared vision, these two institutions formed the More in Common Alliance (MiCA) to collaboratively address the health inequities faced by underserved communities. Through this partnership, they committed to expanding medical education and training to individuals from these communities, with the goal of improving health outcomes.

In leading this initiative on behalf of MiCA, I facilitated a six-month process, during which five working groups met bi-monthly to develop key recommendations and strategies for establishing four regional medical campuses. The culmination of this collaborative effort is the Regional Medical Campus Implementation Playbook, finalized in July 2024. This Playbook serves as a comprehensive roadmap, offering practical resources, including templates and samples, to guide faculty and staff at Morehouse School of Medicine, CommonSpirit Health, and MiCA in building the essential programs for each of the four campuses.
